GOODTIMES had to spend 16mm prints BUT it doesn’t matter…the fresh SOUNDTRACK is intact. The GOODTIMES DVDs are the ones to grasp over the altered RHINO discs. Don’t let the mark fool you! This is the GUMBY and POKEY you grew up with!

I’ve always liked Gumby. I’m not clear I can really elaborate the intelligent appeal of a walking, talking allotment of green clay. Unruffled, that hasn’t stopped me from purchasing Gumby dolls, a Gumby tie, and, most recently, this Gumby DVD. Yes, our old-school “claymation” friend has entered the high-tech digital age… Gumby now shares DVD shelf plot with state-of-the-art computer animation spectaculars such as “Shrek” and “Finding Nemo.” So how well does he possess up in the fresh millenium?

First, some basic info: this is a single disc which runs approximately 55 minutes, containing a total of ten episodes. The menu is simple (no animations) yet effective: you can determine each episode separately, or unbiased simply play them all in order. Bonus features? Uh, well, there are none. Considering that many DVDs ship with a second disc of bonus material, this may seem cheap. But withhold in mind, this Gumby disc IS cheap. The stamp is kept shameful simply because it is a no-frills presentation. Also, considering the repetitive, self-congratulatory, and commercial-filled fluff that constitutes the bonus features on 90% of full-priced DVDs, this may not be such a poor thing (although, it would have been nice to ogle some behind-the scenes footage; however, since Gumby’s creators weren’t alive to with this release, it wasn’t meant to be.) Characterize quality is shaky: forget pristine clarity, or meticulously restored prints here, or, for that matter, THX certified 5.1 surround. You’re getting scratchy aged films, with basic mono audio.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gumby’s Greatest Adventures! Click Here

However, in an exciting scheme, this actually adds to the charm. Gumby is about nostalgia… slickness and Gumby simply do not go together well (this is why the “updated” synthesized music added to fresh televised broadcasts of classic Gumby episodes are so despised by purists.)

I’m not obvious how older kids and teens, who have been raised on Pixar movies and edgy titillating shows like “South Park,” will react to Gumby (although, since each episode on this disc is only around five minutes long, it will appeal to the short attention spans celebrated today.) Younger children will, I bet, serene have a lot of fun watching Gumby, and parents won’t have to effort about violence or double entendres. Older viewers like myself who are long-time Gumby fans will savor this disc as well; the label is upright, and the unlit fact is that Gumby has been increasingly hard to rep these days. Hardcore Gumby fans, or those who can’t tolerate lower production values, may want to beget out for deluxe, restored, bonus-filled Gumby collections. But the imprint of “Gumby’s Tremendous Adventures” is crude enough that it’s worth it unprejudiced to salvage your Gumby fix, even if you belief to “upgrade” at some point in the future. After all, it’s Gumby! And although we’re into the fresh millenium, Gumby’s appeal truly remains timeless.

Five seasons and a total of 109 episodes remains until we all have the stout collection. Plus, I would like to explore the CBS (120 Minutes) MADE-FOR-TELEVISION MOVIE aired on: April 25, 1997 and the name of the movie is “The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion”.

There is also the Enos and The Dukes Cartoon Series (November 12, 1980 - May 20, 1981) which I also would like to discover released on DVD sets.

It is very appealing to have the current series, “The Dukes of Hazzard” available on DVD after so many years. The shows absence on television, due largely to its contriversal “star” the confederate flag bearing General Lee, has been a generations long frustrations to fans of the series who grew up with the prove as fragment of their childhood culture. The fact is, the note presents about as worthy racism as it does deep knowing view…this was a note about being a couple of “apt ol’ boys” fighting the system to aid anyone they could. The indicate itself presented family values, the triumph of edifying over bad and more laughs and action than anything available on television today….and all without the gross (and often graphic) portrayals of drugs, sex and violence that is synonymous with todays media programming.

The central sage surrounds Bo and Luke Duke, two cousins who are sent to live with their uncle Jessie and cousin Daisy after being placed on parole for running moonshine in a “dry” county. The boys, reckless and mischevous, go about the affairs of their family while trying to sustain their noses neat, despite the best efforts of Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe to bring them down. Hogg, Hazzard’s “criminal mastermind” heads up the harmful (but ever bumbling) police department, and is always scheming to bust the Duke boys for anything possible, since he, too, was a moon-shiner in competition with the Duke family.

Confused? Well, its hard to pack seven years of backstory into a couple short paragraphs. Let me say that this is a series for all ages…created in a time that was more innocent than the world of today. Boys will fancy the shimmering orange “01 General Lee” which is as grand a leading member of the cast as is any of the actors themselves. Girls will worship the Duke Boys, Bo (John Schneider (SMALLVILLE) ), and Luke (Tom Wopat (ANNIE Win YOUR GUN) ) . Parents will appreciate the comedic, often comic, antics of the explain combined with the appearant lack of “all that stuff” that makes T.V. viewing so jaded today. Its a family expedient note with a slight bit of something for everybody.

This DVD state contains the complete second season of the explain along with outtakes, audio commentary from the cast and enough extras to sustain even hardcore Dukes of Hazzard fans coming encourage for more. The digital “clean-up” of the note has restored the current quality of video and audio to as pleasurable - or even better - than it originally looked and sounded in 1979-1980.

THis is a must have for fans of the exhibit, and for anyone looking for something fun to ogle with the whole family. Give it a try…I am distinct you will adore it.

I saw ‘The Hunger’ when it was in the movie theatre in 1983. I didn’t know what to request but David Bowie’s presence in the film made me go into the theatre.

Esthetics! Esthetics! Esthetics! Magnificent people, attractive status, splendid music wrapped into the warm womb of blood sucking and immortality and escapism. The storyline doesn’t recede me, though every performance is stellar. I never obtain any empathy for the characters, though I would like to sit down and have lunch with them (on the condition I’m not on the desert menu.)

This is the kind of film one might call a guilty pleasure. No social or lustrous message or value, but imprints itself upon the emotional psyche. It provides a window into another side of one’s usual self. Do I beget in vampires and the creature feature scifi world, no. But it can be fun.

The dvd quality is gracious. Considerable better transfer than the video we’ve had all these years. Really gratified it’s available and in our film library. Be Pleased this world where beauty and pointlessness meet for no other reason than to entertain you.

Horror movies are not usually lush, well-photographed or erotic. Yet this one is! David Bowie, Susan Sarandon, and the immortal Catherine Deneuve all sport trendy clothes and buckets of blood in this vampiric esteem triangle. It is well-produced, and though it has been criticized for its “languid” trail — I judge it moves at honest the good tempo for what the movie is…one long dead seduction. Distinguished is made of the lesbian sex scene, but it’s actually stunning tastefully done and tame by today’s standards. It’s a nice reversal of the Dracula chronicle — Catherine Deneuve as a bi-sexual immortal who choses her mates alternating sexes through the centuries. It’s a fun thought! And who would say no to her anyway? It’s got more style than substance, but oh what a joy to glimpse a movie that captures a sense of elegance and beauty and wrap it around a awe myth! And the music is divine — from the underground gothic stylings of Bauhaus (Peter Murphy actually lip-synchs “Bela Lugosi’s Monotonous” over the opening credits) to the lovely duet from Delibes (the selection from LAKME it seems everyone musty after this movie) . It’s an trustworthy movie, and one worth buying since it seems to be disappearing from rental shelves. And the brand is the lowest you will accept here at AMAZON as opposed to retail outlets!

It seems like a ‘new, improved’ edition of “Gone With the Wind” has appeared every couple of years, offering the ‘ultimate’ in report and sound reproduction, and extras. It can become expensive keeping up, and frustrating (remarkable like buying a classic Disney DVD, when you know a more complete “Special Edition” will soon render your “First Time on Video” copy conventional), but the novel GWTW Four-Disc Collector’s Edition most assuredly deserves a situation in your collection.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gone with the Wind! Click Here

First off, the characterize and sound quality is wonderful. Warner’s Ultra-Resolution process, which ‘locks’ the three Technicolor strips into valid alignment, provides a clarity and ‘crispness’ to the images that even the 1939 unusual print couldn’t effect. You’ll honestly occupy your TV is picking up HD, whether you’re HD-ready, or not! This carries over to the Dolby Digital-remastered sound, as well. All of the tell-tale order and scratchiness of the opening credit title music, serene discernable in the last upgrade, is gone, replaced by a richness of tone that will give your home theater a beneficial workout. (Listen to the brass in this sequence, and you’ll perceive what I’m talking about…)

The biggest selling point of this edition is, of course, the two discs of additional features offered, and these are, in general, apt. Beginning with the great “Making of a Epic” (narrated by Christopher Plummer), Disc Three offers piquant overviews about the film, the fantastic restoration, footage from the 1939 Premiere (and the bittersweet 1961 Civil War Centennial reunion of Selznick, Leigh, and de Havilland), glimpses of Gable and Leigh with dubbed voices for the foreign-language versions, the international Prologue (tacked on to interpret the Civil War to foreign audiences), and a 1940 MGM documentary on the “Old-fashioned South” (directed by Fred Zinneman) memorable today for it’s simplistic belief of the time, and stereotypical portrayal of blacks.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gone with the Wind! Click Here

Disc Four is a mixed bag; the long-awaited reminiscences of Olivia de Havilland are more chatty than informative (with the 90-year-old actress more enthusiastic in discussing her wardrobe than on-set tension…although a prank she pulled on Gable is laughable), and the Clark Gable Profile is superficial (A&E’s biography of ‘The King’ is far wonderful) . Things improve, however, with the insightful, sympathetic TCM biography of Vivien Leigh (hosted by Jessica Lange), and a Astounding part devoted to brief bios of many of the GWTW supporting cast, narrated, again, by Christopher Plummer (although I wish the filmmakers would have included bios for Ward Bond, Victor Jory, Fred Crane, and George ‘Superman’ Reeves) .

All in all, the GWTW Four-Disc Collector’s Edition isn’t perfect, but offers so distinguished terrific material that it is CERTAINLY the one to gain!

I weak to deem that this Hollywood classic was for everyone. However, after reading nearly 300 reviews of the film, I mediate that isn’t accurate anymore. This movie is NOT for you IF 1) you consider a movie must be as historically true as a history book, 2) you consider a 1939 movie should judge the values of the 21st century, 3) your attention span is so short that you must only stare movies from 90-120 minutes in length, 4) you can only catch politically upright films, particularly in terms of racial issues, 5) you are so Tiring, as to believe widescreen movies were made before the 1950s (although to be heavenly, Selznik originally intended to exhaust a special widescreen process for the so-called “burning of Atlanta” sequence but gave up on the expensive plan), 6) you can only score computerized special effects as they appear in recent films, or 7) your thought of stout acting is to be found in slasher or teen films being made these days.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gone with the Wind! Click Here

GWTW is NOT a documentary on the Civil War period. It is NOT a history of slavery in America. It is NOT a fable of perfect people behaving perfectly at all times.

It IS an adaptation of a new written by a Southern woman who, as a child, sat and listened to the stories the traditional Confederate veterans told about the feeble days before, during, and after THE war. It IS a savor myth, probably about the novelist’s grandmother, which reflects the attitudes left over from that long-ago time.

To criticize this film for so many unrelated issues is amusing. It stands on its merits as a masterful film that tells of bittersweet care for and lost fantasy. That it succeeds so well is a tribute to the actors and filmmakers of over sixty years ago.

“The Dirty Dozen”, Robert Aldrich’s 1967 adventure classic, would redefine a whole genre of films, as public attitudes towards warfare and heroism changed, due to Vietnam. With ‘heroes’ who were certainly not fine, a mission that would require a level of cruelty film audiences had never before seen from American fighting men, and graphic language and bloodshed, the impact of the the film was both immediate (despite vast ‘box office’, many critics panned the film as ‘disturbing’ and glorifying violence), and continuing (influencing films as diverse as “Patton” and “Saving Private Ryan”) . It can be viewed at many levels, as a crackling edifying adventure tale, an ‘anti-establishment’ and anti-war statement, the ultimate ‘buddy’ film…few films have generated as distinguished controversy, or stood the passage of time, better!

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Dirty Dozen! Click Here

Based on E.M. Nathanson’s original (of rumored ‘Death Row’ convicts offered a pardon or reduction of sentence for volunteering for a suicide mission), with a titanic glide of the Pathfinders’ legendary “Filthy Thirteen” of WWII tossed in, the property was purchased as a potential starring vehicle for John Wayne. The Duke passed on the project, however (choosing to form “The Green Berets”, instead) . Director Aldrich never envisioned Wayne in the lead, preferring WWII Marine vet Lee Marvin in the complex role of maverick Maj. John Reisman, and the actor, unusual from winning an Oscar for “Cat Ballou”, was dead-on perfect in the share. Ragged stars Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Ralph Meeker, Robert Webber, George Kennedy, and Richard Jaeckel were cast as Marvin’s military allies and adversaries.

For the “Front Six” of the Dozen, mopish Charles Bronson (another WWII vet), John Cassavetes (who would garner an Oscar nomination), Telly Savalas (in the most ‘whacked-out’ role in his career), Clint Walker (of “Cheyenne” TV fame), football sage Jim Brown (in only his second film), and accepted singer Trini Lopez (in his film debut) would dominate the cloak time, with a “Encourage Six” of character actors in considerable smaller roles, simply filling out the rest of the twelve parts. But a movie ‘miracle’ occurred; when Walker objected to a scene where, as a bogus ‘General’, he would idiotically review an Airborne unit (feeling it demeaned Native Americans, who his character portrayed), Aldrich passed the scene to “Encourage Six” actor Donald Sutherland…and the scene would spectacularly commence his career, leading to his starring role in “M.A.S.H.”

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Dirty Dozen! Click Here

Aldrich’s meticulous shooting style, and the often rainy British weather (where the film was shot), more than doubled the shooting schedule, and after seven months on dwelling, Trini Lopez (on the advice of friend Frank Sinatra), informed Aldrich and the producers that he was missing singing dates, and would need a pay hike to continue. To Lopez’ surprise, Aldrich ‘dropped’ him, having him die in the climactic parachute fall!

The director was warned that if he didn’t eliminate the film’s most controversial scene (pouring gasoline and dropping grenades on the women guests, as well as the Nazi officers seeking refuge in the bomb shelters), he would lose any chance of a ‘Best Director’ Oscar. After soul-searching, he left the scene in (”War is Hell, and HAS to be portrayed that contrivance”), and while he sacrificed the prize, Robert Aldrich gave the film a brutal honesty that subsequent wars would sadly verify.

With loads of Disc Two Special Features that start up the film and gives an insight into why it has become a ‘classic’ (including the first “Dirty Dozen” TV ’sequel’, a Lee Marvin Marine ‘Leadership’ training film, and an incredible documentary on the “Filthy Thirteen”), it is absolutely an famous for any ‘War Film’ library.

“The Dirty Dozen” survived contemporary criticism, and has proven to be one of the most enduring war films of all time, as unusual today as when it debuted in 1967.

Wow…this HD presentation captures everything, including (powerful maligned) film grain. It is most likely a better presentation than this film had when originally released to theaters. Visuals are wonderfully obvious, the print is exceptionally smart and the sound, for a movie almost 40 years weak, is top shelf. This is definitely the version to fill!!

This is a beautifully directed movie, by indispensable director Sogo ISHII. But it is definitely NOT an “action packed legend” as described by Amazon. And the fight scenes are unusually and imaginatively depicted, but they are not “improbable” in the usual sense. In short, this is not an action movie nor is it a ragged samurai or martial arts film. It is really a metaphysical fantasy film. “Gojoe” is to samurai films as “Blueberry” is to westerns.

I am annoyed that it is getting bad reviews by people who were expecting some sort of Wu-Tang Baby Cart Master Killer blood and guts actioner. But it’s not their fault that this film is incorrectly marketed.

People who will be pleased this movie:

- fans of director Sogo Ishii’s slower paced films, e.g. “Angel Dust”

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gojoe: Spirit War Chronicle! Click Here

- fans of other foreign cinema especially Japanese cinema, e.g. Rashomon (although I would never claim it is in the same league as such a classic)

- those who like cerebral, beautifully shot films

- people with an interest in Japanese mythology or Shinto, but okay with it addressed on an obviously simplified level

People who are looking for the following should avoid this movie:

- action (though there is some)

- speedily pace

- linear story

- everything spelled out and explained

- humor

- romance

The high points of this film include the shapely imagery, intense slow-burn acting of Daisuke RYU as Benkei, ample performances by all the supporting cast, radiant nifty costumes, a really awesome climax.

Oddly enough, I found Tadanobu ASANO, who I usually fancy, to be only so-so in this film. Maybe it was his unpleasant hair.

The reason I give this film only a 4 is that it really is a bit long. Nonetheless, Media Blasters did do the lawful thing by including the rotund international version, instead of the carve version.

The DVD features are mountainous, with both the novel Japanese dialogue, nicely done subtitles, an English dub track, and some nice “making of” featurettes.

This is an provocative, new film but only for the good audience.

i dont understand what there isnt to pick up about the film or what not to like. the cinamatography is awesome, the storie state is one of the better, more recent ive seen in a while, i dont understand what the dilemma other people sight with its special effects; the blood wobble was tremendous and realistic, not computer generated like in the recent zatoichi film. i only had one qualm with the film and everything else really makes up for it; some scenes are grainy like they missed something in the editing process, but its nothing i occupy against the film greatly. i rented it from blockbuster and have been thinking about buying impartial so i could add it to my collection. p.s. it’s legal people with ADD shouldn’t be critics

In a culture desensitized by violent brutality and computer-generated wizardry, it may be enough to say that I watched The Holy Mountain, which contains neither, with my mouth hanging initiate the entire time. I unexcited can’t quite beget that such a film was ever made, though I’ve long sensed that such a film should be. While not overtly violent, The Holy Mountain is punctuated by graphic, unpleasant and heretical images, but these only originate one aspect of its jaw-dropping resonance. Jodorowsky’s film is unique, bold, visually and thematically inspired. It’s also kind of silly.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Holy Mountain! Click Here

In essence the film is a series of literalized metaphors about the archetypal spiritual saunter to experience reality beyond illusion, a quest motivated by a desire to transcend the absurd horrors of civilization: war, greed, corruption, self-obsession and the politics of power. As such the characters and events themselves are largely symbolic. Unlike a lot of avant-garde films, Holy Mountain’s yarn is structured and surprisingly linear, though it flowers like a rambling, slightly disjointed dream.

Jodorowsky’s spiritual path is an unflinching synthesis of the basic conceptual and heavenly elements of many mystical traditions, including Zen’s formal simplicity, Kabbalic and Hindu ritual, Alchemical processes, Shamanic trials, master/student dynamics and the mythology of the Holy Mountain itself, all of which are gracefully blended into the artful and psychedelic texture of the film.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Holy Mountain! Click Here

Despite the clichéd “conventional wisdom” aspect of some moments, The Holy Mountain achieves what is a fairly unique and ultimately tongue-in-cheek attempt to train the audience. Sometimes the pacing and editing of the film feel a small dated, but this usually adds to the film’s original style rather than diminish it. The Holy Mountain is an ambitious film, tantalizing in its boldness and charming in its outlandishness, and traveling with these seekers will undoubtedly color our maintain journeys, both inner and outer…

I have now purchased a copy of The Films of Alejandro Jodorowski and I give this film even a higher recommendation than I did before. The DVD is first-rate, and it’s a nice plus to hasten Jodorowski’s commentary track as subtitles on the film itself, since the commentary is in Spanish anyway.

El Topo was about a man seeking enlightenment and was made before Jodorowsky had ever smoked marijuana or taken LSD. The Holy Mountain is the attempt to relate the entire society. To prepare, he found a Guru, who gave him LSD. Then after he had gathered his cast, he took them on a three month retreat to prepare, and the film itself seems to have taken six months to shoot. When I met Jodorowsky in 2003, he called El Topo his current son; The Holy Mountain his worried son; and Santa Sangre his perfect son. All three are important works. Jodorowsky truly is Alexandro the Expansive.

Holy Mountain is not about being high, it is about seeing through all illusions, of which getting high very remarkable is one of those illusions. It is a ample satire of the new world in which the Alchemist (played by Alexandro himself) finds the most bad people in the solar system, and then takes them on a quest that pacifies them by promising immortality - objective like the regular religions!

For a film that does not go “inside” any of the characters — we gawk them in beautifully framed compositions — it is very easy to follow and never lets the viewer down. In the waste, he even reveals the secret of immortality. “And here we are — mortals, more human than ever.”

I contemplate I should impress that Richard Rutowski, who worked with Oliver Stone on several of his most gripping works (like The Doors, Nixon, and U Turn), plays the character Axon.

I absorb The Holy Moutain may be the most perfect Utopian vision ever keep on film.

And if someone tried to gain a film like this today, they’d probably be arrested.

Put the children to bed, unplug the phone, regain out the tissues and refuse to examine this movie with anybody who likes to talk during a movie. You will be blown away.

Holocaust and comedy. Two words never spoken in the same breath before “Life is Fair.” To smiply ticket this movie as such, would do it injustice. Every emotion comes into play during the viewing. You soon inaugurate to empathize with Roberto Benigni as he portrays a father trying to sustain the harsh realities of a German concentration camp from his young son. Benigni protects his son with two weapons that the German’s could not seize: Humor and Imagination.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and yes I cried. But I also laughed and smiled.

I recommend the Sub-title version of the movie. After five minutes the reading becomes natural and the depth to which you become eager with the movie is well worth it.

I so enjoyed the music in this movie, that I purchased “Tales of Hoffman” by Offenbach. The second playing of this fragment in the movie will not allow you to own dry eyes.

When Roberto Benigni burst onto the Hollywood scene with this acclaimed film and his over-the-top enthusiasm, I couldn’t bring myself to peruse this film. Instead, I waited for the DVD. However, what I perceived as hype was truly deserved. “Life is Radiant” is a wonderfully inventive legend that seems current even today, years after its first release. Fragment slapstick, allotment drama, allotment romantic comedy, fraction tragedy - this sage of an Italian family during the Holocaust defies categorization.

The films opens with Guido (Benigni) and his friend arriving in town on a car with no brakes and being wrong for facist officials expected for a parade. This slapstick scene ends with Guido catching the future cherish of his life, Dora (Nicoletta Braschi), as she jumps from a barn window. The clownish Guido sets out to rep her heart despite the odds against him. These early scenes dwelling the stage for the rest of the movie: Guido will rely on invention, humor, and persistence to protect his loved ones despite the obstacles he faces. What begins as slapstick becomes heartbreaking later. Like all stories of the Holocaust, this film has its grim side, but Benigni relies heavily on exaggerated humor, running gags, and an early circus-like atmosphere to dwelling up the emotional power of the time’s reality. Most of the atrocities are implied, not witnessed, and the viewer’s believe knowledge of the time period creates an additional layer of tension.

Roberto Benigni is safe as Guido; his antics are hilarious, but during more dire moments, emotions flash across his face, revealing both the depth of his character and the reality of his spot. Nicoletta Braschi is also well-behaved, and small Giorgio Cantinini as Guido? s son Joshua is adorably spunky, especially as he questions his father’s stories.

I always advocate watching foreign films in the current language, with subtitles, but I understand that some viewers may not like “reading” a movie. In this case, however, the dubbed version was distracting, as Benigni provides the English track for his acquire character while American voices dub the rest of the cast. His Italian accent amid the American accents completely broke the illusion for me. Unruffled, if a dubbed version is the only blueprint you’ll contemplate this movie, please do it.

I highly recommend “Life is Blooming.” Its offbeat arrive remains unparalleled in the canon of Holocaust movies. Because of the absence of explicit violence and sex, viewers as young as thirteen should cherish this astonishing film.

Tommy Davis’ first feature-length documentary casts light on a major jam in America today: illegal immigration. It is an economic jam, insofar as the US economy depends upon cheap illegal labor. It is a human rights shriek, insofar as thousands die and more suffer every year entering the US in search of a better life. And it is a political quandary, insofar as making the borders more, less, or equally porous is opposed by some faction or another.

That what unfolds on mask is illegal, genuinely perilous, and previously unseen by anyone but those who have made the perambulate, gives the film the irresistible allure of transgression, risk, and voyeurism. Davis’ hushed narration throughout the film conveys the mortal seriousness of the subject. And the music of Sin Panache fits each scene like a glove, giving dispute to the emotions along the design.

The news clip toward the waste is a masterful touch, highlighting how very current such events are. The impersonal newscast contrasts sharply with the very personal film, as if Davis is criticizing the icy manner in which the dispute is normally depicted.

Davis’ film is not propaganda, nor is it one-sided, as some xenophobes have claimed. It has won so many awards because it is a timely, heartfelt portrait showing the human face of a previously impersonal political notify. Davis should be commended for bravely highlighting an all too ignored mumble - and all the more for doing it so well.

Some might possess that this film is pro immigrant. I’m not so distinct I agree with that belief. While I respect different opinions on the voice, I absorb the director has created a film that is not propaganda or pro one side of the roar or another. Davis simply shows the migrants perspective of illegally immigrating to the United States; the why and the how? I enjoy the footage and information that Mojados offers is key to plan the root of the mutter, and can’t be seen anywhere else. Migrants risk their lives and go through brutal life-threatening terrain to arrive to the United States and for the most fragment work hard and contribute to our society and economy. They leave their families leisurely in order to eventually reach wait on to them with money and hopes for a better life. While the natural result of the film may arrive off as sympathetic to illegal immigrants, it’s based on the fact and humanity of the express.
