I conception that Shrek 3-D was short but I found it cute and funny. What I liked about this dvd was that you can perceive Shrek 3-D in 3-D or normal. I like them both.

I actually saw this while on vacation in Orlando, Florida during a day spent at Universal Studios. It was nice to eye on that cover, and the special effects the staff added were nice too. As an in betweener to the first 2 movies, it’s a cute memoir. However it’s too short (at only 15 minutes) to perform a separate DVD of it. They should have it included as an extra on the disc copy of Shrek 1 or 2.

The Osbournes is one of the best TV shows around, and I can’t wait for the Complete First Season to advance out on DVD. This version is uncensored, so you can inspect footage that they didn’t point to on TV (according to Amazon, on 6 episodes) . This DVD, unlike most television shows that arrive on DVD has a lot of bonus material and special features, as well as all 10 mountainous episodes from the first series:

1. There Goes The Neighborhood

We meet the family as they travel into their recent Beverly Hills home. After problems with the furniture, Ozzy displays his anxiety with a tricky remote control. Later, Ozzy performs on “The Tonight Note with Jay Leno”, despite his nervousness. Kelly and Jack have a love-hate relationship and physically fight throughout the episode. The demonstrate closes with Sharon trying to sort through her amusing family issues.

The Osbournes are settling into their original house as their pets choose too. Some rambunctious pets kill the furniture and leave “presents” on the ground. Sharon enlists a pet therapist to support the site. Also, Kelly is pulled over by cops due to dreadful driving.

3. For The Picture

The Osbourne clan visits the “Ample Apple” sans Jack. As Ozzy makes many guest appearances on shows such as NBC’s “Slack Night with Conan O’Brien” and TRL, Jack goes to a “hippy” camp where he apparently breaks all the rules and has a heart-broken time. Then the family makes it home in time for Kelly’s 17th birthday. Complete with cauldrons and contortionists, Kelly has a itsy-bitsy too mighty fun and gets a tatoo. Meanwhile, a girl sleeps in Jack’s room and the door is locked.

4. Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

The epsiode begins with Kelly venting her enrage to Ozzy because she has a ob/gyn appointment that she doesn’t want to go to. Then Sharon and Jack derive upset because their next door neighbors blast techno music at 2:00 in the morning. After Sharon sets them straight by yelling at them and, like an Osbourne, reveals all her opinions. A food fight begins when the neighbors develop a rendition of “My Girl” and ham, bagels, and the like enter the backyard next door. After the police pay a visit to the Osbourne home, and they are let off with a warning, Ozzy gets in on the action and breaks a window with a log.

5. Tour Of Duty

Ozzy is about to embark on a U.S. tour and realizes that he’s out of shape. He enlists a personal trainer and tries to become healthy. Then, Kelly takes her mom on a shopping spree which leads to Kelly misplacing Ozzy’s credit card. It’s finally time to go on tour. Jack stays home so that he can originate his believe relate tag. Ozzy films a video that spoofs “Lady Marmalade” from Moulin Rouge. Ozzy gets upset with Sharon because she booked tour dates in stop succession but then he takes to the stage.

6. Misfortune In Paradise

Ozzy is aloof on tour but suffers a leg injury. Jack struggles to abide by the rules and worries the nanny a spacious deal. When the patriarch and matriarch return home, Jack is partying with his friends. This leads to a family meeting. Jack and Kelly deliver their parents that their lives are different from anyone they know due to touring and fame. Sharon half-understands their quandary but tells them that they have to close taking advantage of their parents. Ozzy confronts Jack with his alcohol and drug consume and tells Jack to peruse at how it has affected him. After the talk, Kelly has an epiphany and tells her mom that she will change her friends.

7. Catch Stuffed
Ozzy level-headed has a foot injury. As he takes too considerable medicine (with alcohol), he takes the dog out for a surreal crawl. Kelly becomes upset because Jack has gotten a lot of recognition in his musical career while she has received none. Kelly seeks consolation from Ozzy, to which he provides little–but does confront Jack. Ozzy then tells the family that he wants to be alone for his birthday. Disregarding his inquire, the clan surprises him in Chicago and he is joyful.

8. No Vagrancy
Jack brings his friend, Dill, a professional skater that is no stranger to alcohol and drugs, into the house so that he can receive the hotel treatment that only the Osbournes could provide. He clashes with the mom and dad: 1) Ozzy never remembers meeting him 2) Sharon finds a bottle of Jack Daniels and attempts to pee in it 3) Dill messes up Sharon’s Kitchen 4) Ozzy feels that he’s overstayed his welcome. Eventually Dill agrees to leave (as if he had a choice) to Jack’s chagrin. Also, Lola, the loveable bulldog, is given away without Jack’s knowledge. Ozzy ultimately agrees to bring Lola wait on as long Jack provides the excellent care to the dog.

9. A Very Ozzy Christmas
It’s Christmas and the Osbournes celebrate as only they can. Sharon, Ozzy, and Jack are in Original York on tour when they receive word that their security guard had been arrested for attempted burglary. They return home and Ozzy gets reacquainted with the dogs…Christmas morning approaches and Lulu (Ozzy’s son from a previous marriage) visits. Ozzy helps fabricate Christmas dinner and the meal is filled with feuding words and Kelly eventually leaves the table. Jack then receives a knife and Ozzy confiscates it.

10. Dinner With Ozzy
Ozzy reflects on his childhood, life, and family as he dines in front of a camera. He describes his problems and how he doesn’t know what a ‘normal’ family would be. At the raze of the episode Ozzy is presented with a star on the Hollywood Hurry of Fame. Clips are shown of highlights of the family’s first season.

I would reccomend this to any Osbournes fan, or if you want to know what the fuss is about, capture it and get out. The first season of ‘The Osbournes’ is titanic, packed with special features, never before seen footage and commentary.

If you’ve never seen “The Osbournes” on MTV, then you probably wouldn’t be looking it up on AMAZON…Suffice it to say, these 2 DVD’s are the BEST Source material for THE rock memoir, Ozzy Osbourne.
HOWEVER: I had to write this particular review to let people know something about the episodes…they are NOT EXACTLY THE SAME as you’ve seen on MTV!–For some reason, MIRAMAX doesn’t seem to have the same “clearance rights” as MTV, since I have spotted 6(!) alterations made to at least 5 of the 10 episodes!! For the nit-pickers out there (like me), I’ll list the ones I’ve found:

1) When Sharon orders Jack to shipshape up Lola’s alien “mess,” he NO LONGER sings, “Who Let the Dogs Out.”
2) When Kelly nearly sets fire to the kitchen, Ozzy NO LONGER sings the Talking Heads’ song title, “Burning Down the House.”
3) On the tour bus during the Christmas holidays, when Jack serves Ozzy spare ribs, Ozzy NO LONGER mimics the slogan/jingle: “I want my baby-back, baby-back, baby-back–” (you know the rest) .
4) When the …bubbles appear onstage, Sharon NO LONGER sings, “Shrimp Bubbles”…
5) The noisy next-door neighbors say “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”–TWICE–replacing the (heavily? ) copyrighted, “My Girl.”
6) During the making of Ozzy’s “Moulin Rouge” spoof-video, he NO LONGER tries the line: “Molcha-Choca-lotta (whatever),” or doesn’t even mention “STAR WARS”…that scene is COMPLETELY missing.

Don’t fetch me contaminated…these anti-infringement “modifications” DO NOT select away from the sheer enjoyment of these 20-minute episodes, but to someone (like myself) who has obsessively watched them countless times on MTV, the changes are definite…and even sometimes painful to gawk.

I avoided this movie when it was released because I couldn’t imagine that a film based on the marital breakup of Nora Ephron and Carl Bernstein would interest me. Although I am an admirer of both these folks for their talents as writers, I had always agreed with Richard Burton when he said, when asked if he would be writing about his marriage and breakup with Elizabeth Taylor, that even though adore might be tiring,, that it wasn’t for sale. Be that as it may, this movie is certainly worth seeing. Although the site is a shrimp thin, there are some very droll moments. (Whether some of the events actually happened in the Bernstein/Ephron saga doesn’t matter.) Any film directed by Mike Nichols, starring Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson, with cinematography by Nestor Amendros is well worth seeing.

Both Ms. Ephron and the viewer have the last laugh.

This movie is one of the most phenomenal pitures I have ever seen! It is highly ignored and often looked over, which I have never understood. My confusion is due mostly in portion to genius performances by both Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep. The writing and acting are estimable.

While its’ premise can be a bit boring at times, “Dance With Me” is an entertaining film that will give the viewers a glimpse of the competitive world of ballroom dancing. Making his American feature film debut is Puerto Rican singing superstar Chayanne, whose previous claim to fame has been his successful recording career in the Spanish-speaking world. While Chayanne has acted in only one movie prior to “Dance With Me” (the 1994 Puerto Rican film “Linda Sara,” which co-starred Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe who is now married to Latin singing-superstar Mark Anthony) his role as Rafael, a recent Cuban emigre in Texas is somewhat believable. He doesn’t possess the accent or the personality of a native Cuban, and I don’t understand why the producers didn’t make his character Puerto Rican instead.

Vanessa L. Williams is wonderful as usual, and her dancing will blow you away. Both her and Chayanne add sex appeal and passion to this somewhat slow, sometimes sappy film. Kris Kristofferson is great as Rafael’s father, however I did feel that Joan Plowright’s character was out of place. The film does convey a Latin feel to it, and the film’s soundtrack will validate this as many Latino singer stars such as Gloria Estefan and Thalia lend their musical talents to it.

It was an added bonus to see both singing superstars Albita and the DLG perform live in the film. Albita, Cuba’s hottest export in recent years, mixes her usual blend of salsa with traditional Cuban rhythms. DLG, the Puerto Rican-Dominican salsa group are also incredible, and their performances are an added bonus in this film.

Director Randa Hines (”Children of a Lesser God”) does a great job in keeping the cast and story together. as the pride of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Chayanne can rest assure that he will have a bright career ahead of him due to his good looks and personality (he is already the official spokesperson for the Puerto Rico’s Tourism). Vanessa Williams will blow you away with her dancing, and the film will give you a craving for Latin music and dancing. An excellent film for anyone wanting to explore Latin music and dancing.

“Dance With Me” was a really great movie that worked on many levels. It had great music, an enthusiastic, fun-loving cast, a great storyline, believable characters, sensitivity, romance, and a happy ending. This was accomplished without the use of gratuitios sex, violence, and bad language that seems to be all too common in todays movies of lesser character. Vanessa L. Williams was great as dancer Ruby, and Chayanne was wonderful and romantic as her male love-interest, though he did have a tendency to smile way too much. They were amazingly romantic, full of chemistry, Chayanne was very convincing in his role as a man with dubious parentage. Chayanne is hot, yes, but even hotter was the man who played Vanessa L. William’s ex-partner, the father of her son, and competetion partner during the Latin dance contest sequence. He is an extremely sexy man! I only wish that he, Valenzuela (the male Valenzuela–not the woman one), could have gotten WAY more screen time. This movie makes you want to get up and dance. It moves you in more ways than one. I’ve watched it at least twenty-five times since it was released (very limitedly in the theaters), and I will watch it, no doubt, twenty-five more times before it’s all over. This is a fantastic, glamourous movie, and if you prefer a little “ethnicity” in your movies as opposed to formulaic movies like “Strictly Ballroom” or “Dirty Dancing,” and if you want to hear great Afro-Carribbean-Latin sounds and see some of the best dancers in the world, this movie is for you.

Pokemon: Jirachi Wish Maker may have gone jabber to video, but that doesn’t mean it’s not as qualified as previous installments. In fact, in some ways this entry could very well be the best Pokemon movie so far, especially in the design the franchise seems to have grown up with it’s modern fans.

The basic premise of the movie is that Ash and company help a festival for the Millenium Comet, which only comes to earth once every thousand years. They meet a magician named Butler and his assistant Diane, who have found Jirachi deep in an isolated forest and convince Max to abet it. However, Butler has unlit motives and it’s not long before he is found out and it’s up to Max, Ash and the others to set Jirachi.

The narrative is actually quite well-behaved, considering this is a allege release. This time, Ash takes a aid seat to May and Max, and we acquire to glimpse their characters really compose. The themes of the movie, such as the relationship between brother and sister, and having to say goodbye to friends, are subtle at first, but by the demolish of the movie you realize they’ve been around all the time. One thing I would like to add… this is a film for the older Pokemon fans. Parents would be advised that the movie might be a bit intense for their littlest Poke-fans, especially the creature Butler creates arrive the slay. I’m a college grad, and it creeped even ME out! The accompaning Pikachu short, however, is perfect for all ages.

If I liked the film so mighty, why only four stars? Well, Miramax and 4Kids have done better with this release than the previous two. There are no color tint errors this time around (ie, Pikachu doesn’t appear green in some scenes) and the production values are quite high. But some of their decisions are mild baffling. The movie ruin credits, the Pikachu short, the music video, even the DVD menus are all presented in widescreen, but the main feature is not. It unbiased doesn’t execute sense why they could not exhibit the main feature in widescreen as well. The ending song includes Japanese lyrics, the music video is completely Japanese, the director’s message is Japanese, yet there is no Japanese language option for the main feature. It’s honest very frustrating and unfamiliar. Perhaps they’re planning on releasing special widescreen versions of the films down the road…

At any rate, despite the shortcomings, Pokemon fans will really dig this entry. It definately competes with Pokemon 3 and Pokemon Heroes as the best entry in the series.

Don Knotts is well-behaved in this movie! His physical comedic skills could not be done any better. The supporting cast brought together for this film was very well cast. Some of the cast members will also be familiar to those that have followed Knotts career with Andy Griffith.

I first saw this Don Knotts comedy befriend in the gradual Sixties…and it stuck with me. (Especially the tune the organ plays.) The scenes of nervous, bungling, bug-eyed Don Knotts made me laugh out loud then — and they peaceful do now. So I was really satisfied when this movie was finally released on video a few years ago. My only gripe now is that I wish it were out on DVD because I’m distinct I’ll wear out my video before too long!

Of course, I’m a titanic fan of the Andy Griffith Indicate. So that probably explains why I like this movie so remarkable. Don Knotts was largely responsible for making that note the grand hit that it was. And, if you like his schtick on Griffith, you’ll like this movie.

In fact, there are about a half dozen or more actors who appear in the movie — most honest briefly — who also worked with Knotts on the Andy Griffth Demonstrate. Hal Smith, Ellen Corby, Hope Summers, Burt Mustin and Rita Shaw to name impartial five. So it was fun to steal out the familiar faces. The movie was even written by two of the Andy Griffith Show’s most prolific writers!

Knotts has the nervous man character down so well that some scenes in the film are almost painful to gape (like when he’s giving his speech — “I’ve been called heroic. What is doughty? Let me account for this” — before the picnic crowd gathered in his honor), but I can’t wait on myself. He’s droll.

I won’t go into the location because so many others have already reviewed it. I impartial wanted to add my two cents (and Five Stars) to the other reviews.

The bottom line: this is a fun movie, broad for the whole family. If you haven’t seen it, please do so. Definite it’s corny. Distinct it looks dated. But it’s not supposed to be Citizen Kane. It’s unprejudiced a titanic popcorn movie to part with friends and family.

I thought a lot about this review.

I’m an animation buff, so I can well say that this film received the maximum rank on animation - the amount of details and thought that was put into every movement and shot is admirable, and the result shows. It is certain that the animators did an excellent job - even went down to details such as having the muscles of the dinosaurs vibrate when the foot hits the floor. Sometimes I actually forgot that this was an animation movie, and mistook it for a National Geographic feature.

The story, on the other hand, is rather disappointing. It seems like the development process stopped after the story became reasonable. The characters are only skin-deep, and it is frustrating for someone who had already seen a couple of movies before that this one brings nothing new to the screen. It’s sad to notice so many ‘deja vu’s while watching, seeing so many thing that you have already seen before, especially that the main character - Aladar - is an orphan dinosaur raised by monkeys, carries a close resemblance to Disney’s previous feature, Tarzan.

Two thumbs up for the music - it really hits the spot. The composer captured every moment so naturally that it fits like a glove. Nothing I say can convey the impression, so you might as well see it for yourself.

All in all, an amazing animation feature with a weak plot. This film - in itself - receives 4 stars from me, although if I had calculated my impression on the Collector’s edition, I would have definitely lowered it to 3. It simply wasn’t worth the extra money I added. The second DVD contains very little material, and I really expected more from a highly documented production such as this one to include more material. People purchase this item to get more information about the animation process, and I really feel like I wanted more. I really think that I should have bought the regular edition and saved some cash.

I am not sure what critics were expecting when they shot this movie down. It is a fun and exciting adventure for children and adults alike. It may be a little too scary for children under 6, so be warned. Let’s get one thing straight, folks. Dinosaur is a movie for CHILDREN. So, don’t go in expecting to see the second coming of Jurassic Park. The movie does offer brilliant CGI special effects and breathtaking scenery. I like the story for kids because it stresses teamwork and the value of every individual. The lead character, an Iguanadon named Aladar, is very likeable and I found myself rooting for him time and again. Was the movie expensive? Yes. Is it one of Disney’s best ever? No. BUT, it is fun and exciting. There are SO many movies out there for adults. This one is a winner for kids. Don’t cheat your kids out of enjoying it because they will.

Even though it’s been more than 20 years since its modern release, 1982’s THE Injurious Unimaginative is quiet an impressive marvel of low-budget filmmaking. It does have its palpable flaws, but this first feature-length directorial worry from SPIDERMAN’s (2002) Sam Raimi, produced on a shoestring budget of circa $350,000, offers clever special FX, spellbinding make-up work, relentless shocks, and intelligent direction and camera work. And of noteworthy tag to genre fans, it highlights Raimi’s knack for pushing violence and gore to such an coarse that it becomes funny or farcical, a characteristic that is enhanced by the slapstick talents of actor Bruce Campbell (who would himself become a cult hero due to his work in this and other Raimi films) .

The epic involves a group of college students who, during a weekend getaway, derive a Sumerian Book of the Expressionless in an customary wilderness cabin they’ve rented. When they unwittingly unleash deplorable spirits and demons while reading incantations from the book, that’s when the actual havoc–and the sincere fun for the audience–begins. As each of the kids, one by one, are possessed by the demons they’ve loosed, body parts and bodily fluids go a-flying until only one young man is left to face down the Spoiled Tiresome. A simple position with a simple position up, but Raimi and Campbell effectively milk it for all the scares and all the laughs they can secure.

There are several editions of THE Obnoxious Uninteresting available on DVD, most of which advance from the astounding folks at Anchor Bay. Most are of big quality and offer beautifully restored digital transfers of this cult classic. The best discs also include feature commentaries from Raimi and Campbell.

This is one of the greatest apprehension films ever made. Some people may score the special effects work aged by todays standards, but for a low-budget film as this is they are worthy and charged with a weirdly supernatural energy; something one never sees today in the astronomical production dread films.

However, this review is mainly going to be about the portray format. Dismal Insensible was filmed in 16mm, which is a full-screen format, not widescreen.

BEWARE of the so called “widescreen” versions: Book of the Listless Runt Edition, and the other editions from Anchor Bay. Nothing has been added to sides of the report to invent it wider; instead the top and bottom of the film have been reduce away to manufacture it watch like a new theatre film. Instead of more, you actually gett less. In some parts of the movie this makes an primary differance; in the close-ups of faces, parts like the chins are now gone (…) ; other significant details also go, like when the trap-door in the floor opens and we scrutinize down into the cellar, the lower edge of the opening is gone, so we don’t notice the entrance in its whole.

The full-screen version is quiet available, with agreeable represent quality, in the Elite Entertainment edition.

There are some key elements to identifying a poorly made film be it television or vast screen: Over consume of very cessation up shots, jerky camera activity, comic post production effects, third rate actors, amature CGI, childish script, sure amature production quality (lighting, groundless rain machines, etc), dreadful acting, action sequences that bore the viewer, incorherent tale lines, rediculous computer input sceens with people typing 300 words per slight while talking. There are more I am determined. Most movies gain some of these elements but in general substantial shroud movies bear fewer then slight cover do impartial as a function of budget differences. I tend to give exiguous hide productions a dinky behind due to these budget challenges.

That said, The Storm is a rare production. It embraces, with reckless abandon, all of the elements of a noxious movie. Bordering on parody, The Storm is almost unwatchable. Treat Williams, the dreadful man’s Harrison Ford, leads a pedestrian cast of hacks sleep walking through this long, very long, two hour (with ads) movie. Needless to say you sould skip this one. If you do rent or, dare I say, occupy this POS, I can promise you will want to retain the remote handy for hasty forwarding whole segments.

I watched this when it was on NBC and it was shapely abominable. With the exception of Treat Williams and David James Elliott, I was wondering who those others were advertised as stars. Being I’m not a teenager is probably why I didn’t know them. The split camouflage scenes are over done. There are not unbiased 2 scenes at one time but 3 or 4. Add to that the advertisements for NBC’s plunge shows along the bottom and it was a confusing mess to peer. I know those ads will not be on the DVD. Van Der Beek is stone faced thoughout the movie and in my personal conception a unpleasant actor. I am not positive who Teri Polo was but a friend told me they notion she was the news woman killed in the first hour in a cheap rip off of the shower scene in Psycho. Treat Williams is worthy in the movie but he does ham it up at times. If you like this type of movie you might like this one. I must confess that I only watched it as I am a JAG fan and watched to view David James Elliott who had a shrimp role as the Army General. NBC heavily advertised that he was in the movie so it was disappointing to sight his role so miniature. If you are a fan of his fair stare the trailer and you will peer about half of his scenes. The status has been done before in other movies made for TV. This one is overall not very recent.
