This is another good set from Timeless Video. This set is from the group of U.S. videos taken in Europe and Pacific which were classified and released recently with the Freedom of Information Act. They are complete with maps and commentary, and will be video not seen before. They will show some U.S. defeats the military didn’t want the public to see. The time period is from roughly the last half of 44 and the 1st of 45. Confidential, the companion set from Timeless Video, is late 43 through the 1st half of 44. The video is mostly crystal clear. Some of it is a little dark.

B&W short films with added in commentary and gun fire effects. Nothing to write home about, the box indicates “secrets” revealed. What secrets is the question! Nothing new presented on these DVDs if you are just a bit knowledgeable about WWII. The B&W quality is acceptable on most, but on some a bit dark. Save your money and skip this video, it is not worth it!

WAR (aka. ROGUE ASSASSIN, Asian title) is the 2nd movie that puts together Jason Statham and Jet Li. Remember, “The One”? I don’t blame you; I barely recall the film myself. This film has a very interesting cast; two popular action stars set to collide in the big screen. With fight choreography by Corey Yuen, it looks very promising. Did it deliver on its expectations? (I’ve been reviewing too many Korean films of late so I thought I’d review one that I saw in theaters months ago, my draft has just been sitting in my computer)

Buy,Download, Or Stream War! Click Here

An F.B.I. agent named Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) is obsessed in finding his partner’s killer and bringing the assassin called “Rogue” (Jet Li) to justice. Rogue is a ruthless killer, apparently if the Yakuza wants someone taken care of; they send this cold and accurate assassin. After disappearing from sight for a few years, Rogue resurfaces in the San Francisco Bay Area. Apparently, he has switched sides, and is now working for the Chinese Triad headed by Chang (John Lone). Jack is so fixated in nabbing Rogue that his very presence fills him with rage. However, Rogue takes Jack’s presence as very entertaining and quite amusing. It seems that Rogue has a hidden agenda…

Music video director Philip Atwell is at the helm with “War”; his experience filming music videos certainly shows in this outing. The style is pretty routine and nothing is spectacular. One thing I can say, is that most of the sequences weren’t shot in San Francisco; (I live in San Francisco so I can tell) wherever it WAS filmed it was so convenient. Yakuza territory is made of Sushi bars and Triad territory is mostly, well, Chinese food places. The Asian gangsters have the usual stereotype inherent in other action films. I did find the fetish in Asian clubs quite amusing.

Buy,Download, Or Stream War! Click Here

The last time I saw Jet Li as the antagonist was in Lethal Weapon 4; Li upstages Statham in terms of dynamic charisma, he portrays Rogue as a silent but intense presence. Statham’s character seemed a bit too clichéd, and suffers too much from the same old “cop-on-the-edge” gimmick. Li plays a good anti-hero as Rogue, with his classic manipulations to set the Triad against Yakuza. The classic manipulations kind of reminded me of older films, I couldn’t put my finger on it until my friend mentioned Yojimbo and Shogun Assassin. The Yakuza crime lord is played by Ryu Ishibashi (Cure) with his daughter played by hottie Devon Aoki (D.O.A.). It was obvious that Aoki is in the film for eye-candy and not much else.

Not to say that the screenplay lacked inspiration. The interesting plot twists seemed poised to turn the film into something quite good. The first twist showed some promise although it may require a large suspension of disbelief; we are expected to believe that everything is just so well executed and calculated. I almost don’t want to mention the 2nd twist, because they should have stopped with the first one. The second twist made the movie seemed a bit overcooked; it seemed too forced. It called too much attention to itself to astonish without any credibility. I cannot disclose anymore information because I may end up spoiling the film a little. I really felt like the film would have ended better. (I’m curious to see if the dvd will have an alternate ending, It certainly needs one) The plot devices/twists seemed more fit in a police morality drama, but in a standard action film, the pacing seemed to hamper the film a little.

Now did the film at least actually deliver on the fight sequences? Well, there are ninjas and a decent routine swordfight. We even see Kane Kosuji in action (for a few seconds anyway). The film is pretty solid as a commercial/mainstream action movie. There is a lot of marketing devices; gang conflicts with a few effective twists and turns, a hint of nudity, some T & A, cardboard cutout characters, blood with kinetic action sequences. The film isn’t so bad as long as one remembers its target audience; testosterone-laden males (like me). Action director Corey Yuen made better action scenes before, but for action junkies, it may still prove diverting.

WAR is a MIXED bag, it doesn’t offer anything we haven’t seen before. It has the potential to become a truly fresh and entertaining action film, but it stumbles in the standard plot devices and the routine conflicts. The action sequences are decent, but somewhat lacking in intensity and emotion. Emotion plays an important part an excellent fight scene; the direction just didn’t make the effort to show such emotional impact.

There is just something missing in “War” that it wasn’t as effective as I wanted it to be. I’ve seen a lot of great action sequences, and the ones in “War” are definitely not in the upper tier. If you’re a Jet Li fan, you’ve definitely seen him in MUCH better fight sequences such as in my personal favorite; “Kiss of the Dragon” (modern action) or in his past Hong Kong films. To its credit, (at the very least) the fight scenes are better than the ones in “Cradle to the Grave” but only by a hair.

Maybe I’ve just seen too many Asian action films.

Timidly Recommended for action fanatics and a good rental for everybody else. [3 ½ stars]

**** 1/2

for an action fan, the expectations are going to be very high considering the actors. Jet Lee and Jason Statham are arguably the best action stars around these days.

while the action doesnt quite deliver as heavily as i hoped, the movie was fantastic. essentially its a cat and mouse story, Statham plays the vengeful federal agent, hellbent on tracking down his criminal. Jet Lee plays an international hitman, who killed Statham’s partner. its going to be nearly impossible to find because he’s always getting reconstructive surgery and changing his identity. now, four years later, he may just be back on the trail, thanks to a rare bullet, the exact same style used to kill his partner.

its a much darker story with little or no of the comedy found in a lot of Statham’s roles, but its a strong, dark, well written action-drama that pushes all the right buttons. the acting was good all around, just as solid as you’d expect from the leads, all the minor characters play their roles believably.

the fight scenes didnt quite stack up to my expectations, but anyone older than five should realize, when the movies done, there was a lot more going on than a straight “shoot em up” action movie. not that it would’ve been a bad thing. i would give Crank that generalization, and its my favorite of Statham’s films.

in the end, if you like action with a story, jet lee, or jason statham, at leased give it a rental.

CSI is often intense and chilling. The scenes showing the laboratory work are fascinating. I scouted around on Paramount’s web site to see what information they might have about the CSI 3rd season set. Here is what I found:

Being an extreme CSI fan, I couldn’t pass up the chance to buy season 3 to add to my growing collection. I absolutely love Selena Gomez. She has so much talent, she sings, she acts, she does it all. I’m a huge fan of her. This movie was adorable, I watch her show all the time. BUY IT!! 5/5

Though each individual episode of the hit Disney Channel TV show “Wizards of Waverly Place” is fun and quirky in its own right, all the material (acting, plot, witty one-liners) seems to fly by so fast that the viewer isn’t left with much real emotion. It’s almost as if the show gets so caught up in the formula (Alex does bad but prevails, Justin does good but never gets rewarded, etc.) that it doesn’t take enough time to slow down and really examine the relationships between any of the characters. Luckily, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” movie solves that problem.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie! Click Here

For a basic plot summary, the magical Russo family begins the film with Mom and Dad dragging the kids off on a vacation to recreate their honeymoon. The usual eye-rolling the complaints begin, but Alex (played by the always-entertaining Selena Gomez) takes things one step too far by metaphorically wishing (while holding the family’s magic wand) that her parents had never even met, thus they wouldn’t be on this “stupid vacation” in the first place. Of course, thanks to the wand, that wish is granted, and suddenly the Russo siblings are no longer part of a family, as Mom and Dad don’t even recognize each other. The rest of the film, then, centers on the kids’ quest to find the “Stone of Dreams”, a magical, enchanted item that can grant any wish or reverse any spell.

With the expanded feature-length runtime, the plot and character development of the film are able to be realized much more deeply than in any previous episode. We get to learn more about both parents and why they are like they are, as well as how the Russo children (namely Justin and Alex) view each other and what can be done to better those relations. In a touching scene that just might make you start to see through some mist, both Alex and Justin come to terms with each other involving the sometimes-bitter sibling rivalry that has existed between them from the very beginning. This plot line is also a great message for younger children, promoting the values of family and working together.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie! Click Here

As usual, the acting is also spot-on. Dad (David DeLuise) and Mom (Maria Canals-Barrera) are at their over-the-top best, while Alex (Gomez) and Justin (David Henrie) are constantly involved in a brilliant give-and-take that will have you both laughing and misting over at different occasions. Even youngest brother Max (Jake T. Austin) hits all the right buttons as the somewhat dumb-founded, yet very innocent bringer of the more physical comic relief.

So, considering this film’s ability to delve deeper into the relationships between each character, I consider it to be a rousing success and look forward to great things from the show going forward. Plus, the climax of the final results in the long-awaited “Wizard Challenge”, which will determine the Russo child who will come away with the magical powers into adulthood and thus set the stage for Season Three on the Disney Channel.

“Desperate Housewives” made its debut in 2004 to rave reviews and high Nielsen ratings. Season one of the show is considered a modern classic. For most people, the same couldn’t be said for seasons two and three. Many people though the second and third seasons were disappointing. I thought the second season was good (though not great), and the third season was a slight improvement over season two (though it still didn’t top the first season). But after watching the entire fourth season of “Desperate Housewives”, the show is back on track. This is the best season since the first.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Desperate Housewives: The Complete Fourth Season! Click Here

Season four of the show about those housewives from the fictional Wisteria Lane (located in the town of Fairview) was the most interesting, most intriguing, and most entertaining season since season one. Many of the same major characters are back: Susan, Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle, Edie, Mike, Carlos, Tom, Orson, and narrator Mary Alice. But what really makes the fourth season of “Desperate Housewives” so great is the addition of a new character: Katherine Mayfair. As season four begins, we find out that Katherine used to live on Wisteria Lane many years ago but has now moved back to the neighborhood with her much younger husband Adam and daughter Dylan. And yes, we can tell from the first episode that Katherine is hiding a deep dark secret that will eventually unfold as the season progresses. Some of the other major storylines throughout season four include: Lynette battling cancer (which she discovered late in season three); Susan (after marrying Mike at the end of season three) finds out that she’s pregnant; Bree faking a pregnancy to protect daughter Danielle’s real pregnancy; Mike developing a drug problem when he becomes addicted to pills; Gabrielle finding marriage to town mayor Victor Lang to be so dull that she starts having an affair with ex-husband Carlos; and probably the biggest story of the year, Wisteria Lane being destroyed by a tornado.

That tornado episode, titled “Something’s Coming” (episode #9), was easily the best episode of the season and the second best episode overall (the very best episode of “Desperate Housewives” still remains that supermarket hostage crisis episode from season three). This was reportedly the most expensive episode of “Desperate Housewives” to date, obviously since special effects played a big part in it. But just like that supermarket hostage episode, it’s a thrilling and entertaining episode that keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wonder who will come out of it alive or dead.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Desperate Housewives: The Complete Fourth Season! Click Here

The stars of this show once again do a great job just as they have in the previous three seasons. Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria Parker, and Nicolette Sheridan are fine as usual, but in season four they get upended by the newcomer to Wisteria Lane. Two-time Emmy winner Dana Delany (”China Beach”) is an absolute standout as Katherine Mayfair. There’s an interesting back-story involving Delany and “Desperate Housewives” when the show’s creator Marc Cherry was casting the principal roles back in 2004. Cherry originally offered Delany the role of Bree, but turned it down since she claimed it was too similar to a role she had on a short-lived TV series she starred on a few years earlier (that show was called “Pasadena”, which aired on FOX). But Cherry never gave up on her. After he created new character Katherine he wanted Delany for the part, and this time she accepted. It’s interesting because Katherine is kind of like Bree, but only darker. And Delany stepped right into the role of Katherine and made it her own. I think this was similar to what Cherry and the rest of the “Desperate Housewives” writers were trying to do two years ago when they created the Betty Applewhite character for season two and failed miserably. This time they got it right, and the writers should be congratulated for not messing up the Katherine Mayfair storyline. This was an intriguing storyline throughout season four, and it ends perfectly in the final episode. And what makes it even better, Delany’s Katherine will be back next season.

My only complaint about “Desperate Housewives: The Complete Fourth Season” is that the season was shorter than usual. You can blame that on all the writers from the small screen to the big screen for going on strike for three months, which ended shutting down the production on not only “Desperate Housewives”, but all shows on television. And that was kind of a bummer, because a few more storylines had to be cut short. For example, there was a very funny storyline involving a gay male couple that moved to Wisteria Lane, and I think the writers originally had planned to expand this storyline throughout the season. But after the writer’s strike ended and there was only room for seven episodes, the writers couldn’t expand this storyline has they had planned. Whether or not this storyline will be expanded for season five remains to be seen.

And when season five debuts in the fall of 2008, it’ll be interesting to see what will be going on. In the final moments of the last episode of season four, the action flash forwards to five years later, which I presume is where the show will pick up when season five starts. And it’ll be interesting to see what’s going on, because “Desperate Housewives” leaves us dangling with another bizarre cliffhanger: who’s the man (and it’s not Mike) that’s kissing Susan in the final scene?

In season 4 of DH we see the show going back to the basics, to the thing that made fans love DH: the friendships. The friendships of Lynette, Susan, Bree and Gabrielle, as well as each individual character, were tested over and over again and they endured. It was this quality of enduring friendship amongst women that makes this show so good.

Season 3 dealt with each women independently, barely interacting with the other friends and thus we lost that which made the show worthwhile, their interactions. Season 4 takes another route and shows the women provide each other a strong support system. Lynette relies on her friends and family to go through cancer, Bree deals with faking a pregnancy, Susan must deal with her marriage with Mike and Gabrielle must decide between Carlos and Victor.

We also see the introduction of another character, Katherine Mayfair (and of course, her many secrets which deserve to be a character all of their own). She was such an excellent character that I instantly liked her, secrets and all. Katherine was a former resident of Wisteria Lane and a friend of Susan’s. She has a ton of secrets and a way to challenge each and everyone of our Wisteria Lane ladies.

Tornadoes, blackmail (tons of blackmail), ex-husbands, drugs, maniacs, and tons of humor. This is one of the best DH seasons to date.

This is one of the more enjoyable “bumbling amateur criminals” movies that I’ve seen.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Big Nothing! Click Here

It’s a UK/Canadian production but it’s set in the U.S. and it stars David Schwimmer in my favorite movie role of his to date. His lugubrious manner is perfectly complimented by bouncy, James-Cagney-like Simon Pegg, a British comedian donning a perfect American accent. Their screen chemistry is wonderful.

Joining them is another Brit with another perfect American accent plus tremendous sex appeal, Alice Key, playing a third kooky wheel in this unlikely team of extortionists. I gotta say: the acting by everyone (Brit, American, and Canadian) is top-notch.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Big Nothing! Click Here

The script by Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Andrea and American Billy Asher tries to avoid cliches — or at least improve on them — and Andrea’s direction gives the film a slightly surreal touch altho the film retains a down-to-earth quality.

That surreal touch plus its dark quality may limit this film’s appeal, but those who like terrific acting and fast-paced fun may revel in that appeal.

(To people who have already seen the film: there’s a difference of opinion here and at the Amazon UK site about Simon Pegg’s accent. I think that those who are familiar with Simon Pegg will be influenced by that familiarity and find his accent strange — while those of us who aren’t familiar with him will find his accent perfect, albeit energetic, Midwestern. Can you click on the “comments” link below my review and reveal (1) if you were familiar with Pegg before this movie and (2) how succcessful you thought his accent was? Thanks.)

I loved this film. The first “gothic comedy”, I would say! It’s very funny, yet surprisingly dark. So you’ll go from laughing your head off to jumping in your seat thinking “WTF”? A very original movie based on a classic premise. Pegg rocks, as usual, I’m a huge Spaced fan and wasn’t disappointed! Definitely a geeky yet intelligent movie, worth watching a few times. Laughs and shocks guaranteed in equal measure. Awesome soundtrack too, are they going to release it?

FAERIE TALE THEATRE’s production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST makes for dazzling family entertainment, with strong performances from lead actors Susan Sarandon and Klaus Kinski in the title roles.

Beauty’s merchant father steals a white rose from the castle of the Beast (Klaus Kinski). As punishment, the Beast orders that the merchant return to the castle in 3 days, or else one of his daughters must go in his place. Beauty selflessly sacrifices her own freedom to release her father, and goes in his place.

Once in the castle, Beauty slowly begins to win the friendship and trust of the Beast, who hides a gentle and kind heart beneath his frightening exterior.

Directed by Roger Vadim and co-starring Anjelica Huston and Nancy Lenehan as Beauty’s jealous sisters, this version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is based on Jean Cocteau’s celebrated French movie classic. Highly-recommended.

Faerie Tale Theatre has produced some odd episodes over the years, but none more so than this disturbing revisioning of Jean Cocteau’s film classic as directed by, um, Roger Vadim. Vadim is best known as the director of visually stylish but empty-headed films like Barbarella and …And God Created Women. It goes without saying that this is an attractive episode, perhaps one of the most beautifully realized in the series. Vadim has borrowed many of Cocteau’s gothic flourishes, and the sets and costumes (especially the look of the Beast) are straight out of that version. However, for all of its visual power, this is an underwhelming adaptation. Klaus Kinski as the Beast is inspired casting, and he lends the part a solemn gravity. Susan Sarandon, on the other hand, seems to be channeling Catherine Deneuve here. She’s more Belle De Jour than Beauty, all frigid detachment and blank expression. This makes her final declaration of love for the Beast completely unconvincing. The fault lies just as much in a script that never fully develops either character or their relationship. The Beast remains pitiable and elusive to the last, and it’s little wonder Beauty never seems to see him as anything more than a creature. The plot meanders, and Vadim lifts moments from Cocteau’s version that, taken out of context, are more confusing than inspired. In the end, however, perhaps this should be enjoyed simply for the atmosphere Vadim has created, no small feat in a television production of this scope.

Anyone who ventures into “American Swing” expecting to see a documentary on Benny Goodman is in for one hell of a rude awakening - and that’s putting it mildly. For the “swing,” in this case, actually refers to the “wife-swapping” phenomenon that swept through middle-class suburbia in the 1970s. And no figure did more to popularize that trend than Larry Levenson - the “King of Swing” as he came to be called - whose “live sex club,” Plato’s Retreat, located in Manhattan`s Upper West Side, served as the epicenter for so much of the action.

Let it be stated right up front that this eye-opening documentary is not for the prudish or the easily offended, for its footage is graphic and its language raw, often akin in its look to crude 1970`s porn. It takes us straight into the heart of a scene that became famous for its flagrant nudity, its unbridled group sex, and - if the eyewitness accounts are to be believed - its really bad food (apparently, the smorgasbord that kept bringing the people in was of quite a different kind!). Directed by Matthew Kaufman and Jon Hart, the film features interviews with many of the now-aging club regulars who happily regale us with tales of their personal escapades there. A number of celebrities who frequented the club, as well as certain reporters and broadcasters who covered the beat at the time are also interviewed.

“American Swing” is most interesting as a social document, showing how the “free love” ethos espoused by the hippies in the 1960’s expanded into the mainstream a decade later. Suddenly, ordinary businessmen and housewives, truck drivers and longshoremen could partake in the life of the sexually liberated. In his own mind, Levenson sincerely believed that he was serving a salutary purpose with his club, providing couples who didn’t want to be stuck in a monogamous relationship with a more honest alternative to “cheating.”

It is not the intention of Kaufman and Hart to judge the people who took part in what Plato`s Retreat had to offer, but neither is it their intention to shy away from some of the less savory consequences that eventually overtook many of them: principally, the diminution of romance, rampant drug abuse, and the spread of disease. In fact, it was the sudden appearance of AIDS in the early 1980s that brought the decade-long love-train to a screeching halt. That, along with Levenson’s own troubles with the IRS (including time spent in prison for tax evasion) and possible dealings with the mob, is what eventually brought an end to the place - and to the era of licentiousness that helped to spawn it.

So, was Levenson a trailblazing sexual revolutionary who made it possible for otherwise ordinary middle-class people to live out their wildest fantasies? Or was he an emotionally stunted individual who cast away the mores of society in a bid to fulfill his own kinky desires and make a kingdom and a name for himself in the process? To their credit, Kaufman and Hart provide no easy answer to those questions, neither for the prigs in the audience nor for the libertines.

All same for the movie itself - for even though Levenson’s life ends sadly, “American Swing” does not play out like the typical cautionary tale. For, in the end, we are left to reach our own conclusions as to whether Plato’s Retreat was in reality a hedonistic paradise or merely a moral cesspool - or, indeed perhaps, a little of both.

The only thing you can really do is check out “American Swing” and make that determination for yourself.

This is an utterly compelling documentary about an amazingly seedy topic, the life and death of a popular New York sex club called Plato’s Retreat, which catered to heterosexual “swingers” during the height of the disco era. It was, apparently, the equivalent to the swinger scene what Studio 54 was to the gay-socialite set, a place of immense personal liberation and shocking group debauchery. I used to think of the heyday of “wife-swapping” as being in the early and mid-1960s, but this saga took place in the musty ashes of the ’60s Sexual Revolution, as the hippie era gave way to a more generalized hedonism and self-centeredness in American society. The film largely shies away from an examination of the larger changes in society at the time, sticking closely to the immediate drama of the Plato club, and indeed, it’s a pretty compelling story. It’s also an unsettling topic: I had no idea that straight (hetero) society had such an out-there free-sex culture, and while this is fascinating in theory, seeing it made plain (there is quite a bit of archival footage) is a little nauseating, if the truth be told.

As the story unfolded, I assumed that the advent of AIDS and HIV disease would be what would do the club in, and while it did factor in, it was actually the club’s ties to organized crime that rocked its foundations: the club’s owner, Larry Levinson, went to jail for nearly three years for tax evasion in the early 1980s. Amazingly, the venue survived for several years until finally being closed down by the City of New York, as the AIDS crisis intensified and it became clear that unsafe sex was unsafe no matter what sexual orientation was involved. What makes this film so watchable, though, is the parade of characters — bouncers, clubgoers, porn stars, journalists — who are interviewed decades later, and who speak of Plato’s Retreat with both refreshing candor and sincere, unrepentant, misty-eyed nostalgia. It’s a slice of American history, and a portrait of a time and culture that seems profoundly remote now. Certainly worth checking out. (Joe Sixpack, Slipcue film reviews)

C’mon. Admit it. Embarrasing though it may be, you probably have one. One of those films that by almost any standard of good taste is considered to be pure trash — but you adore it just the same. Well, “The Carpetbaggers” is my source of shame and delight. Yes, it’s cheap and tawdry, unintentionally laughable at times, and held together (barely) by a script with many a line in need of a rewrite. It sports hair styles and costumes that, although undeniably lavish, are often anachronistic to the 1920’s and 1930’s (those decades in which the story is set). Performances range from extreme and over-the-top to downright comatose. But this early 1960’s contribution to the breakdown of the American cinema’s once strict moral code never loses its ability to do what Hollywood does best — to entertain. It’s a film filled with a grand potpourri of characters ranging from an arrogant and ruthless Jason Cord (a wooden George Peppard) to a lushly lascivious Rina Marlowe (a questionably sexy Carroll Baker), from a charmingly unctuous (i.e., villanous) Dan Pierce (Bob Cummings) to a bubbling and bouncy Monica Winthrop Cord (a totally engaging Elizabeth Ashley). Classic character actors and actresses (e.g., Charles Lane, Tom Tully, Audrey Totter) abound. And Elmer Bernstein’s jazz score boasts a main theme that is pulsatingly decadent. Yes, “The Carpetbaggers” is all flash and fire with very little substance. But I love it. Can’t help myself.

This movie starts out with a bang in the first five minutes. Itkept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie. It is a movie that I have remembered since I saw it the very first time years ago. George Peppard and Carol Baker are at thier top performance levels, and the movie keeps moving with intricate subplots going at all times. Many reviews mention the tycoon who is cruel and calculating, the insights into the movie business, complex personal relationships, but few mention the situations that created these characteristics in him, one being a incident that is never totally shown or explained, but partially shown then implied, not explained thoroughly. This particular subplot may then get missed and is psychologically of great impact if one looks for and finds it.

For music fans, the soundtrack is fabulous, I have had it on Lp for almost 15 or more years, and it is one of very few soundtracks where I am willing to just listen to the music without always seeing the movie, it is wonderful all on it’s own. Just on it’s own, the music is well worth buying the movie. I sincerely appreciate Amazon for still carrying what many might consider an old, and outdated movie. I don’t believe times have changed that much, much of it would still apply today. For anyone that likes phychological plots and mystery this is a movie for you, even if not, the other subplots make it a very worthwhile movie to have. I would recommend it to anyone, and especially George Peppard fans. END
